Biography
Omar Sharif Abdi is a Partner at Abdiwahid & Associates Advocates, heading the firm's Industrial & Labour Relations and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice groups. He has spent over ten years advising employers, employees, trade unions, and government bodies on employment matters, workplace disputes, and collective bargaining agreements.
Mr. Abdi represents clients before the Employment and Labour Relations Court, the Industrial Court, and various arbitral tribunals. He has particular expertise in managing retrenchments, redundancy processes, and executive separations, ensuring full regulatory compliance while protecting clients' commercial interests.
As a trained mediator and arbitrator, he spearheads the firm's ADR mandate, successfully resolving complex commercial and workplace disputes outside the courtroom, delivering time and cost-efficient outcomes for clients.
